1970

NAVARONE S.A. was founded in 1970. Initially the company was active in the field of chartering, operating as a broker. 

1973

In 1973 NAVARONE S.A.  undertook the management of the company’s first two vessels.

1974 – 85

Between 1974 and 1985, there was notable activity in the sale and acquisition of vessels, as NAVARONE S.A. was fully concentrated on ship management.

1994

In 1994, a strategic partnership was formed with Canadian Forest Navigation (CFN) of Monreal, one of the leading cargo operators worldwide.

1995

Since 1995, NAVARONE S.A. has been operating a fleet of various sizes of bulk carriers, enhancing its expertise with the particularly demanding trade of the Great Lakes.

2000

The company forms a strategic joint venture with CANFORNAV, a world – class owner and operator of 36 Bulk Carriers (Handymax, Supramax) built in China. Furthermore, having participated in the equity, NAVARONE S.A. stands as The Technical Manager and CANFORNAV as The Commercial Manager.

2011

NAVARONE S.A. moves its offices from 6 Loudovikou Street in Piraeus, to a new location north of Athens, situated at Cheimaras 6 in Marousi.

2017 -19

NAVARONE S.A. acquires 3 privately owned Dry Bulk Carrier Vesssels of 33DWT.

2018

USCG recognizes Navarone S.A. on requirements of the QUALSHIP 21. Navarone S.A. becomes member of HELMEPA. 

2020

NAVARONE S.A. acquires its fourth privately owned ship of 33DWT under a time charter. 

Our Company counts zero cases onboard due to Covid – 19 outbreak. 

 NAVARONE S.A. 50 Years anniversary under the same name  

2021

Navarone S.A. experiences no operational downtime at its headquarters due to the Covid-19 quarantine measures implemented in the country, ensuring seamless support for the managed fleet.

2022

Amidst the outbreak of war, the company stands by its Ukrainian employees by offering uninterrupted employment, complimentary onboard Wi-Fi, arranging hotel accommodations for officers and their families, and contributing to their nation through various donations. 

NAVARONE SA celebrates its 50th anniversary and welcomes partners and vendors at its premises, during Posidonia International Shipping Exhibition 2022. 

 Navarone S.A. is certified under ISO 9001:2015 AND 14001:2015 standards. 

 Our Company ventures into the Logs Trade with M/V Seamelody 

 Our vessel, the M/V Seapearl, effectively concludes a Search & Rescue mission in Eastern Australia by rescuing an individual’s life. 

2023

Navarone S.A. acquires 3 more vessels under management, building up a fleet of 23 vessels under management and 4 owned. 

 The company upgrades its organizational structure ensuring company’s policies and systems are functioning at the highest standards, invests on sustainable development, strategic diversification, extroversion, and engages intensely in corporate social responsibility actions (CSR). 

 Two of our vessels, (M/V Seahope and M/V Smew), participate in Search & Rescue Operations in the Atlantic Ocean, rescuing individuals and showcasing our steadfast commitment to saving lives at sea. 

Navarone S.A. becomes a member of INTERCARGO. 

2024

In 2024, NAVARONE S.A. achieved the DryBMS badge, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and meeting stringent standards in health, safety, security, and pollution prevention.

Our experienced crew is fully trained to operate under extreme weather conditions in any port around the globe, undertaking the transportation of major dry bulk commodities – such as coal, minerals, and grains – and minor dry bulk commodities – like bauxite, fertilizers, and steel products. Today, Navarone S.A. operates globally on a 24/7 basis. The company manages a wide fleet of 27 Handy vessels, while also having the capacity for more.
